Tuesday 26 - Thursday 28 July 2011
11am – 4pm

Well Dressing is celebrated every year at St. Chad’s Well, located in the heart of Chadkirk Country Estate. The tradition of dressing springs and wells with pictures made from petals, leaves and other materials dates back to Celtic times.

Each year a talented and enthusiastic team of volunteers from across Stockport design and make the Well Dressing. It takes four days to complete and will last a week before the clay dries and the flowers fade.

Entry to the making of the Well Dressing is FREE.
A small donation towards the flowers is welcome.
Refreshments will be on sale.
Groups must book in advance due to limited space. Call 0161 477 6517

If you would like to take part, see 'Well Dressing' to find out more
